Fundraising

My hobbies are an addiction, and a valuable form of fundraising.

I use the best quality textiles, quality wool, silk, alpaca, and mohair. I convert them into useful and in some cases beautiful exclusive products. I spin, weave, sew, knit, and now have developed Art Tapestry. The results have been all very different, but always exclusive.

Historically my fundraising has been done by selling my crafted items. With the possible exception of fundraising for a new roof, Before lockdown I sold at a range of Craft Fairs, and Community Markets, as well as Online Sales with this web site. For a variety of reasons, I have curtailed my venues, and now sell at only 2 markets a month. I am also stopping the online sales page.

One big fundraiser has been our Hexi Puff Quilt.

This is a single bed size quilt made up with 209 individual pure wool hexagonal puffs filled with pure wool fleece. Each Puff has been hand knitted by a wonderful team of volunteers. It has now gone to a new home. It was sold to the highest bidder in a Silent Auction which ended on the 31st of March 2023. We were delighted with the outcome. 100% of the money raised goes directly to the Middle School Sponsorship Fund.
